Indiana!!

We had to wake up early to get to Carmel Indiana in time.  This is because we didn't know how long it would take to get out of Chicago, and then there was the time change, and so we woke up early.  We went to the Indianapolis Indiana Temple Open House, and it was pretty cool, and different.  We were probably one of the only members there to go through the temple.  In the different rooms, the tour guide would talk about the room, and it was cool.  After the temple, we decided that we needed to do something else in Indiana.  So we went to the Indy 500 Raceway.

First of all, we couldn't figure out how to get into the raceway.  Finally we tried to put it in the GPS again, and it took us around to the front. It was pretty cool.  You had to go under the raceway to get into the parking lot.  The museum is in the middle of the raceway, so we went there first.  Because the raceway was under construction, we weren't able to take a lap on the raceway.  We did get to go on the "special media tour."  Which was a pretty awesome tour.  First we looked in the museum of all the older race cars.  That was fun to see all the different cars.  Then we went on our tour.  The tour guide was super funny.  He called me and Jacquelyn the St. Louis girls.  This was because we told him we were going to St. Louis that night, and had to get there that night.

We started the tour with going to the media booth.  The media booth is where all sorts of announcements happen, and all the celebrities, race car drivers, etc come to talk to the press.  Then we went upstairs to the floors where the live feeds come from.  After that, we went to the place where the trophies and medals are handed out.  Then we went into the Pagoda, which is where the news, and suites, and the cool people sit.  After that we went down to the Brickyard.  There we stood on the starting line of bricks, and it was great.  We got to stand on the track, kiss the bricks, and basically be cool kids.  After the tour, we started on our way to St. Louis.
